Full report in < 5 minutes

With the right approach you can prepare a complete report in less than 5 minutes. In the video below we show step by step how to create a complete inspection report, from an empty property structure to report generation.

This method is by far the fastest way to create a report, especially for larger properties with many rooms.

Taking good photos

The quality of the report is strongly linked to the quality and structure of the photos. You don't need a professional camera, but a logical order is crucial.

We recommend working per room as follows:

Start with 1 or more overview photos of the room
This way the AI model understands the context and layout of the space.
Then detail photos of individual elements
(floor, walls, ceiling, windows, doors, sanitary fittings, damage, …)

This approach ensures more accurate descriptions and better damage detection.

Surface grouping or not?

For photos, you can work with or without surface grouping. It remains a personal preference, and the way of working also differs between the browser and the app.

Without grouping — simple and fast. In the browser you drag photos from the property page straight into the room blocks (several rooms at once); the AI model decides itself what belongs to which surface.
With grouping — photos are linked to floor, ceiling and walls, which makes the report slightly more structured. In the browser this takes noticeably more time (uploading per room and per surface); in the mobile app it goes smoothly via the surface buttons in the camera view.

For most properties, working without grouping is sufficient; the AI model usually recognizes well what belongs to which surface. The full explanation can be found at Add photos.

Room names matter

The name of a room determines how the report is written.

Each room is processed by a specialized AI agent. A correct room name ensures that:

The right features are expected and described
Specific elements get extra attention
(e.g. sanitary fittings in a bathroom, appliances in a kitchen)

Therefore use clear and recognizable names such as Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom, Entrance hall, …

Creating a move-out smoothly

If you create a move-out from a move-in, the AI model compares the final condition with the initial condition. Two things help enormously with this:

Photograph in the same rooms as during the move-in (they are already in place after creating the move-out). This is essential for a correct comparison.
Preferably take the photos from roughly the same viewpoint as during the move-in. Not required, but it makes the comparison more accurate.

Adjusting report layout

The layout of your report can be personalized in several ways:

Photos can either be placed all the way at the bottom, or in the middle of the report, grouped per room. You can find this setting on your profile page, and it is applied to all your reports.
The general property description, as well as the room description, can be disabled by default. You'll also find this setting on your profile page. Changing this setting is applied immediately to all your reports.

Extra tips from practice

Give your property a clear description (layout, floor, garage box, …). The AI model takes this into account for a more accurate report.
Add comments to photos for things that aren't visible
(material types, defects, what is or isn't included in the rental). In the browser you can also record a comment.
Working on site? With the mobile app you take photos directly with the camera and even continue working offline — everything synchronizes later.
Pay special attention to the yellow blocks in the report
(doubt or meter readings that need extra attention)
Only use the free report renewal once everything is complete
Always download the report and the photo zip when you hand over the file

Good preparation on the input side saves you the most time when checking and finalizing the report.
